1. Gas Fireplace.

Used SimpleTread oak Stair Tread Cap And Riser Kit from Home Depot for this project.

3. Installing door.

4. Drywall & Crown Molding.

  • Ceiling was cracked and uneven.
  • Covered with fresh drywall.
  • Crown molding.
5. Drywall and Flooring.

  • Big room, high ceiling, beams...
  • Laminate floor.
  • Oak handrail.
6. Replace Front Door.

  • Old door opening a little too tight so previous door not installed properly.
  • New door slightly modified so metal run-off plate was sitting above concrete step, so now water runs over the concrete, away from house.
  • PVC molding between brick and door-frame for better look and longer life.

7. Solid Oak Treads.

  • Risers capped with oak veneer.
  • Step treads capped with solid oak for high durability.
  • This is a cost-effective approach to finishing the staircase.
8. Fence Boards.

  • Post by Mister Post Hole.
  • Boards by Guelph Reno.
9. Parging.

  • Tapped off loose cement.
  • Used wire brush to remove loose bits and clean surface.
  • Repaired and reparged.
10. More stairs.

  • Sanded and urethaned side stringers.
  • Risers and Treads will be carpeted.
  • Nice handrails.
